Recycling is a part of a larger theme of stuff white people like: saving the earth without having to do that much.
Recycling is fantastic! You can still buy all the stuff you like (bottled water, beer, wine, organic iced tea, and cans of all varieties) and then when you’re done you just put it in a DIFFERENT bin than where you would throw your other garbage. And boom! Environment saved! Everyone feels great, it’s so easy!
This is important because all white feel guilty about producing waste. It doesn’t stop them from doing it, but they feel guilty about it. Deep down, they believe they should be like the Native Americans and use every part of the product or beast they have consumed. Though for many white people, this simply means putting plastic bags into a special drawer where they will accumulate until they are eventually used to carry some gym clothes or bathing suit. Ultimately this drawer will get full and only be emptied when the person moves to a new house. Advanced white recyclers will uses these grocery bags as garbage bags.
If you are in a situation where a white person produces an empty bottle, watch their actions. They will first say “where’s the recycling?” If you say “we don’t recycle,” prepare for some awkwardness. They will make a move to throw the bottle away, they will hesitate, and then ultimately throw the bottle away. But after they return look in their eyes. All they can see is the bottle lasting forever in a landfill, trapping small animals. It will eat at them for days, at this point you should say “I’m just kidding, the recycling is under the sink. Can you fish out that bottle?” And they will do it 100% of the time!
The best advice is that if you plan to deal with white people on regular basis either start recycling or purchase a large blue bin so that they can believe they are recycling.

Carry a plant with you and make sure you exhale on it. Plants need CO2 to perform photosynthesis and will release oxygen as part of the process. Problem solved!
I love recycling and Korea’s system is great. They even do something with styrofoam, not exactly sure what, but it all goes away to some place together.
I believe Korea ships all those styrofoam peanuts to North Korea, where they are consumed as food.

At least someone is trying to save this planet. Minorities (especially blacks and Mexicans) could care less about their surroundings. You can see this all over the city. 9/10 Blacks or Mexicans will throw stuff on the ground even if their is a waste basket a meter or two from them.
And also, in some places, it’s the law to recycle, and blacks and Mexicans will choose not to anyway.

I recently found this site through a friend and i think it is geared as for humour on typical social behaviours. We would appreciate you not getting into absolutely ludicrous arguments about racism by making up statistics of 9/10 Blacks and Mexicans not recycling. If you have done an academic survey, i think what ur community needs is a better school system that can teach you folks about recycling.

Also please consider the possibility that the “Mexicans” (clearly you can’t actually discern their nationality) you’ve observed may come from a developing country, not the United States, and yet as a result of US dominance their third world country has long been forced to rely on the export of primary products for national income, including paper and plastics.
Of course, given that primary products do not produce the income of manufactures, that they are vulnerable to changes in international prices, and that recycling has served to decrease demand and lower the prices for these products, please rest assured that many of the world’s poor should hate you as much as you should hate them. Please take your trash and racisim and tomatelo por culo.
How lame to look at recycling in that way. If you keep all of the stinking rotting garbage in one container and not mix it all together and have 10 containers with stink and rot you can better control the stink and rot. Of course some folks are totally oblivious to this or maybe they just like it that way.
For those of you white people most concerned with reducing your footprint on the environment please consider not breeding.

Not only that, but white people are sometimes so dumb in the absence of a recycling bin that they’ll refrain from putting a bottle in the trash (lest it end up in a landfill!) and instead just place it nearby, like on the ground or on top of the trash, like the recycling fairy will take care of it.

This blog is very good, but should be more narrowly titled “things affluent or upper middle-class educated white people from liberal backgrounds like”. Because there are a lot more white people who like NASCAR, Mcdonald’s, Blue Collar comedy Tour, The U.S. Armed Forces, hunting, ice hockey, bull-riding, harley-davidsons, making truly offensive black-people and Latino jokes, budweiser and maker’s mark than white people who enjoy coffee, sushi, barack obama, recycling, priuses and ipods. To the author of this blog: you should spend some time with some “real” white people. They don’t live in major cities, they didn’t go to fancy college (like you obviously did, along with many white people whose habits and proclivities you have absorbed and catalogued) and they work at blue-collar jobs. You’d get a kick out of it. Those white people would love to introduce you to their culture, which you would find strange and exotic. Think how much more material you’d have for your hip blog if you spent some time with some real white people.
I’m a white guy in a medium-large predominantly-black urban setting, and… I recycle everything I can. Recycling is free in this town, or more precisely described, recycling is tax-subsidized to encourage recycling, but doesn’t cost the individual any recurring fee.
“A white man” has a point, though he’s not too worried about being offensive. From my experience, the closer you get to the center of the city, meaning the more racially diverse (or less white) the neighborhood, the less people even bother with recycling. Big piles of trash bags, and not a free recycling bin in sight. The irony is that bags cost $1.50 each to dispose of!
I’m not going to guess at motivations (or not), but free is free, so what keeps certain people from participating? How about some non-white person explain it.

Wow. White people are pretty awful. Recycling is *so* trendy. On the plus side, it helps all mankind and the earth. Boo hoo, white people love talking about recycling… and they usually do it! That’s right, they actually recycle. They may re-use plastic bags for the gym or store them for eternity, but at least they don’t throw them in the trash, or out their car windows to end up on some dolphin’s head.
Another thing they (I) do, is take them to their local Holy Foods, and RECYCLE them.
But you’re right. We should be more like other cultures. Like the Chinese, who still burn tons of their trash in the 21st century, contributing to that cloud of filth hanging over their capital city, sufficiently toxic to stop the Olympics.

This blog title is misleading: what you are in fact referring to and mocking is a certain subsection of white people in North America (mainly the US and to a lesser extent the non-Francophone parts of Canada), who are liberal/left-wing poseurs with above average incomes.
Most whites in the UK (where I am from) are nothing like that! Indeed, many whites from America itself are nothing like the whites you mock here. Moreover, whites from the non-anglophone world would hardly recognise any of the stereotypes you portray here. Talk about ethnocentric!
I suspect you are an Angry Asian Male (AAM) who has been brought up and educated among upper-middle class whites, subjected to their patronising behaviour and seen most of “your” fellow Asian women hook up with white men. This blog is your way of expressing your anger and getting some measure of revenge against the whites who have bothered you for so long. It’s funny and all, but please remember the target of your lampooning is a very narrow sub-section of the Caucasian race as a whole.

This blog isn’t really directed at all White people, but rather a subset of the White American population that is arrogant, elitist, leftist, “Daily Show”-watching, Obamanation voting, and NPR-listening.
Almost all the jokes & racial slurs directed against White people in the U.S. are in fact towards our more rural & religious White demographic. This is the first website (that I know of) which actually satirizes the urban liberal Whites instead of the working-class, rural Whites.

I like this site, just found it yesterday. And just as I am white and german, there is many things here that I find myself being into, but many more that I dont fit in. Its hard to believe that this all should be a white thing what I am doing (coffee, bicycles, tea, recycling …). I really wonder what other races were doing without these things and what makes them different except from the skin, would be nice to find that under every article here. To me it seems like:

This blog reeks of

For all of you who mistakenly believe that the author is black or hispanic, I quote the famous SNL skit: “Nigga Please!”
Although Black or hispanic people poke fun at and find much of white culture quirky and hilarious, they do not write blogs which dive so deep into showcasing white culture and critique in a way that exudes insecurity or a vent-up “grudge” as this one does. You can see that that none of the items in this blog are really far from fact. Alot of the items of in the list do indeed apply to a very large section of white population in America. The author does not really lie or distort reality. However, that’s just it. Only Asians find the reality of white culture to be bothersome to their pre-programmed prejudices of what is superior. Hispanics and blacks would be more likely to make up and totally distort the reality of white culture and make jokes about it and leave it at that since they really don’t care what white people do as long as it doesn’t infringe upon their enjoyment of life. In other words, Hispanics and blacks are perfectly fine with the whites wanting to recycle, drive Priuses, live by the water, shop at Whole Foods or what not because if they were making as much money or obtaining the same level of financial comfort, many black and Hispanics would probably want to do the same thing too. Or, they would choose not to, but it doesn’t bother them. Simply put, black and hispanics are comfortable being themselves and with white people being different. They really don’t have any dreams or illusions of black or hispanic culture dominating the “stuff that white people like culture” and really don’t get annoyed that liberal, urban white culture is what it is.
However, with Asians, it is a completely different story. Asians have this strange underlying “grudge” or I should say, “inferiority complex” with any culture or people that are different from themselves but hold a dominance in the society in which both live. Thus, this reality does not fit well with the natural competitive and insecure nature that personififes so much of the Asian immigrant culture in the western world. Unlike black and hispanics, the Asian population in western countries has already reached the same level of economic/financial success that white people hold, and in Asian culture, there is no greater feeling of enjoyment than seeing yourself becoming the dominant power. Thus, because Asians share pretty much the same socio-economic status as whites, they are much aware and exposed to white, urban, liberal blue-state culture since they probably work alongside these types of white people and probably have gone to the same wealthy, high ranked, hippie universities full of white people that this blog ridicules. Not too many black and hispanics have reached this position to be so close and neck to neck with the white population that is the target of this blog. That is the diference.
Thus, Asians see that in this country (USA) or whichever country in which Asians and whites are neck to neck, that despite sharing almost the same economic status with that of the white population, the standard for hipness, wealth, and whatever is considered “cool”, fashionable or trendy is basically “stuff that urban, progressively-minded white people like”…not stuff that “rich, successful, science/engineering background-minded Asian people like.” This reality conflicts and does not bode well with what these Asians have believed throughout their entire lives from birth which is that “Our Asian culture is superior to any caucasian culture because our race is the most intelligent and most beautiful in the world”. It is a commonly known fact that Asian culture in the form of parents, schools, media drill this message of racial superiority into their heads from birth. Thus, when these kids grow up and actually see that reality of the world is totally different from what their masters in their little Asian enclave of racial superiority has told them, they get confused, jealous and spiteful to the point where they need to find tribal comfort in congregating with other Asians and finding humor in telling each other how funny it is that white people’s culture is so different from theirs.
The irony is, however, that in secret or behind closed door amonst themselves, alot of Asians actually yearn for the same things found on this list…especially living by the water or shopping at high end groceries. However, they are just irritated that they came from a culture in which their families could not afford to or did not give a rat’s ass about the environment, recycling, helping poor people in third world countries, eating organic food, helping causes, going snowboarding, renovating a house, throwing dinner parties, travelling to exotic locales, etc., Granted it is not their fault because as immigrants to a new country, their parents did not have the time nor luxury of doing these things because they were too busy trying to make money or push their kids at school to learn Calculus by age 10.
Instead, these Asian kids grew up seeing TV shows from their motherland countries and their families living a different culture: obessing about money, buying expensive designer name brand goods with the label on the front to show off (Gucci, Guess, Dolce Gabanna, etc.), smoking cigarettes in front of their girlfriends, driving nothing other than Mercedes Benz and BMWs, listening to cheezy ballad or R&B based pop music, striving to be a rich doctor, never thinking about travelling to third world countries (only places where they want to travel is K-town in LA, NYC, or anywhere which is considered “fashionable”), etc. Becuase they grew
