25 years ago I saw “Carmen” at the opera house in Omaha. I saw “Hamlet” at Creighton U. I saw Jonathan Richman at the Howard Street Tavern. (Howard Street was paved with bricks, by the way.) I saw Florentine art at the Joslyn.
With that kind of culture, who needs “art house cinema”? Especially in the Netflix age.
And with this sort of tolerance towards africans, how will the south survive without slaves?
